YPeer stands for YOUTH PEER EDUCATION NETWORK which is a groundbreaking initiative pioneered by UNFPA at global level since 2000.
Connecting thousands of young people across regions, Y-PEER aims to promote healthy life styles and to empower young people at different levels (peer education, advocacy, program management, fundraising…) through peer to peer approach.
History of YPeer Bhutan:
- Started in year 2011, after sending 3 youths in 2nd Advanced Training of Training held in Bankok.
- Currently, ypeer have its network in 26 colleges and institutes consisting of more than 1500 registered members.
- We have in total, 8 youths who have attended ATOT (Active and inactive members)
- Around 350 youths have undergone National Training of trainers.
- YPeer Bhutan have completed its 9th NTOT training 150 youths in the beginning of 2018.
